Local Link is a civic technology tool built for communities to use to employ and empower the people in a community who need help. With the current high levels of unemployment, Local Link helps a local community by identifying opportunities and connecting people in the community with those opportunities.

How does Local Link do that?
Local Link focuses on empowering CLO's (Community Liaison Officers) with the tools that they need to help benefit the community in this process. Local Link has identified that CLO's are given an immense responsibility to serve the community without any training or structure for them to be able to do their jobs in serving the community. Local Link provides CLO's with skills, training and capacity building opportunities and looks to address the unemployment rate one job at a time.

In this whole process, Local Link helps private companies find people in communities that have the skills that they require to do the work that is needed. Most of the work that is being done is on large public sector projects. Local Link realises that private companies really want a professional system with processes that are easy to use and understand. Local Link understands the need for uninterrupted production with no unexpected or uncertain interferences from communities. Local Link gives private companies the ability to know and measure outcomes and activities in the community. Above all else, Local Link gives the community a voice, because ultimately the community deserves good service.
